Trip Hop
Trip Hop is a term that was coined by Mixmag as a description of the type of downtempo house and hip hop hybrids of the early to mid-1990s that were particularly prominent in England. The masters of the genre include Massive Attack, Portishead and DJ Shadow. Bristol is regarded as the Mecca of the genre. Massive Attack's 'Blue Lines' album laid down the blueprint for the genre.
