Tiga, real name Tiga Sontag, is the 'Canadian Collosus' DJ and producer who stems originally from Montreal in Quebec. Despite his homo-erotic appearance and according to Pete Tong "he wouldn't look out of place on the catwalk", Tiga is first and foremost an amazing DJ. Some of his tracks that he produces as an artist are not up to the same standard as his mixing talents, primarily because of his insistance to sing on them and a great singer Tiga certainly is not. However, his 'DJ Kicks' mix on K7 is one of the best thought out and put together DJ mixes available on the market today. He has the talent to not only be able to mix unbelievably well but to know exactly how to build up a mix and to pick which track goes with what track in order to complement the sounds effectively. This also has something to do with the fact that he has such an inimitable style. He plays a kind of brand of techno, house, electro-clash and kitshy 80sness that no-one else comes close to. He's just the best at what he does and you can't really ask for more than that. For his production work he is most famous for his collaboration with Zyntherius 'Sunglasses at Night' on which he also sings. Or for his take on Nelly's 'Hot in Here' which became a cult classic in 2003.
