DEEP SPACED FUNK

Reggae

Reggae is a brand of music that stems from Jamaica in the 1960s. Reggae built on the ska and rocksteady Caribbean musical styles. It is characterized by the skank: a regular chop on the off-beat. The king of reggae Bob Marley used the music to voice concerns about society, promote Rastafaria and plead against poverty. Dub-reggae was invented by Lee 'Scratch' Perry who collaborated with Bob Marley but then sold the rights to them without Bob's consent to a record company in England.
