Jazz/Latin Fusion
Jazz is another music form that originates from the African-American sub-culture in the United States. Jazz sprang up around the start of the 20th Century in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is a heady mixture of blues, rhythm, Western musical styles and swing.
Latin music is very diverse and roughly incorporates all musical styles from Central and South America and even some Caribbean countries. The only thing many of these styles have in common is the Spanish and if you include Brazil, the Portuguese language. Musical styles such as the tango, samba, bossa nova and latin jazz are omni-present.
